NORTH POLE PHILATELY
FRANÇOIS BERGEZ, FRANCE, IN FRENCH
For the past four years, François Bergez has been the postmaster for CERPOLEX's Borneo logistic station at 89ºN, the "world's northernmost post office."  This site contains examples of special north pole cancellations from previous expeditions. Even if you don't read French, the site features some wonderful North Pole photographs and is well worth a visit!

ARCTIC VOYAGE
HARLAN HANSEN, USA, IN ENGLISH
This site contains an extraordinary collection of photographs that Mr. Hansen's uncle, Olaf Hansen, Chief Engineer on the whaling and trading ship Arctic, made during the course of a 1923-24 voyage to the northern coast of Alaska. The site contains some rare photos of the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen who was at Wainwright, Alaska during that time.
